Waiver Policy

At the International Journal of Emerging Knowledge Studies (IJEKS), we believe that financial limitations should not be a barrier to sharing impactful research with the world. To support authors from low-income countries, emerging researchers, and those facing financial hardship, we offer a Waiver Policy through our collaboration with the Open Knowledge Society.

Eligibility for APC Waiver or Discount

Eligible authors can apply for discounts or waivers on the Article Processing Charges (APC). This is aimed at promoting open and equitable access to publishing opportunities, regardless of financial status. The following authors may qualify for the waiver or discount:

• Researchers from Low- or Lower-Middle-Income Countries
  Authors from countries classified as low- or lower-middle-income by the World Bank are eligible for discounts or full waivers.
• Early-Career Researchers for Quality Work
  PhD candidates, early-career researchers, and first-time authors may apply for discounted APC fees.
• Researchers Facing Financial Hardship
  If you are an independent researcher or face financial difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances, we encourage you to apply for a waiver.

How to Apply

To apply for a waiver or discount, please submit a formal request along with your manuscript. Your request should include:

• A brief explanation of your eligibility for the waiver or discount
• Supporting documentation (e.g., proof of residence in a low-income country, student ID, or any other relevant information)

Send your request to our Waiver Application Team at editor.ijeks@gmail.com. Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and we aim to respond within 5-7 working days.
